When Conflict Arises, Court Isn't Your Only Option

When families or couples are in conflict, court isn't the only option. Mediation offers a respectful, structured space to talk, understand each other, and reach agreements that reflect your unique circumstances.

What Is Mediation?

Mediation is a voluntary, confidential process where a neutral third party helps people in conflict have productive conversations and make their own decisions.

Unlike the Court:

  • No one is forced into a resolution
  • You're in control of the decisions
  • The focus is on solutions, not the past, nor blame
  • The process is private, not public

Mediation can help with communication breakdowns, ongoing conflict, and difficult decisions during times of transition.

Empowering Resolution

Mediation puts the power back in your hands. You decide what works best for your family, your situation, and your future. The process is collaborative, respectful, and designed to preserve relationships while solving problems.

What Does a Mediator Do?

A mediator is neutral — not a judge, therapist, or attorney.

The Mediator...

Creates a safe, respectful environment for discussion.

Helps each person be heard and understood.

Keeps conversations focused and productive.

Clarifies issues and identifies common ground.

Helps explore options and practical solutions.

The mediator does not take sides, give legal advice, or decide the outcome. The participants make all agreements.

Mediation works best when both people are willing to participate honestly, even if emotions are high.
